The Fortnite Android beta is officially live for all Android owners, even if you don’t have a Samsung device. Here’s how to download the app and a list of supported devices.

How to download ‘Fortnite’ on Android

The process is basically the same as the previous Galaxy beta, but we’ll recap it for those who missed the news.

  1. Go to the Fortnite Android website on a compatible Android device.
  2. Press the button that says “play free now.”
  3. Tap the link for Epic Games and the APK will download.
  4. Open the installer once the process has finished.
  5. At this point you’ll likely see a message that reads “your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source.”
  6. Tap the button to go to settings, and enable installation of apps downloaded through Chrome.
  7. After that, you’ll be asked if you want to install. Press “Install.”
  8. Press the button to “open” when it’s ready.
  9. You may get a message about game storage requirements. Press “Continue.”
  10. Press the large, yellow install button and then launch.
  11. You’ll get to a loading screen, which installs the latest version of Fortnite to your device.
  12. After that final installation, select yes or no depending on if you’ve played Fortnite before. Selecting yes will allow you to link an existing Epic account by logging into the other device, while no walks you through the process of making a new account.
