As teased Monday afternoon, the major feature of Fortnite update 11.10 is the arrival of Fortnitemares content around 9 a.m. EDT today. While fans grew a little bored of the stale festivities last year, things seem to be a bit more fresh for Chapter 2, with a totally different LTM and new challenges to complete. Slaughtering Fiends was fun in the past, but the Storm King sounds like he'll present a whole new brand of challenge for eager players. It's not quite clear what the mode involves, but teams will have to take the monster down to claim victory.

One of the more curious stances Epic has opted for throughout Fortnite Chapter 2 is an apparent refusal to offer full patch notes for its major content updates. Despite the fact that many fans eagerly await a detailed list of revisions, this developer doesn't want to offer one. To our knowledge, this is one of the only cases we've seen where a game creator has withheld that information on a regular basis. It'll be interesting to see if that trend ever changes over the remainder of the season. At the very least, though, Fortnitemares sounds like a spooky fun time.

Fortnite is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and mobile.
