Despite the version number jump to 13.20, the latest Fortnite patch notes aren't all that exciting. The Flare Gun has been a known quantity since leaks during Chapter 1, but now the weapon can finally be accessed in-game. Like last week's Firefly Jars, though, these will be a bit hard to come by given that they don't seem to spawn as floor loot in any capacity whatsoever. As far as the Deployable Workbench is concerned, that will hopefully allow players to make use of the weapon upgrade and sidegrade features that remain mostly ignored by fans in the heat of a contentious Battle Royale. If you're able to upgrade the tier of your weapon from anywhere on the map, the potential impact sounds that much more substantial.

Moving on to Fortnite Creative, what we see in Fortnite update 13.20 is essentially a large collection of bug fixes tied to editing, clipping, returning to hub and weapon interaction. Most Creative updates at least offer some kind of Prefabs or new tools to experiment with, but this one merely adds some base stability for the content that currently exists. In that sense, 13.20 isn't as exciting as it could be, but it has the promise of something greater with a new LTM rotation and the presumed debut of the Captain America skin. If you can find a Flare Gun, it sounds like it might do some damage.

Fortnite is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and mobile.
