All in all, then, Fortnite update 13.40 offers fans pretty much exactly what they were expecting. While features like Radio Stations are indeed a bit of a surprise, the main draw for today's patch is absolutely cars. The four new vehicles give fans a chance to experience Battle Royale rotations in a totally new way, and, if leaks are any indication, it sounds like the game's vehicle offering is only going to expand as Season 3 continues. The current roster of four cars is essentially what dataminers expected to see, but we're interested to see how that changes going forward.

On the Creative side of the equation, most of what Fortnite update 13.40 offers amounts to bug fixes. The new Debris Island prefab certainly sounds cool, but it likely won't change the suite for creators as they know it. For the most part, Fortnite update 13.40 exists to fix some lingering crashes, network issues and weapons glitches that cropped up in prior versions. True to form, cars are truly the star of Fortnite update 13.40, and that's probably how it should be.

Fortnite is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and mobile.
