Fortnite update 15.30 is officially live, and the late-season patch adds more new features than players might have expected. The Mando's Bounty LTM offers a huge shakeup to the Battle Royale formula, as does the addition of the Chug Cannon and Burst Quad Launcher. Highlights
- Mando's Bounty LTM: The best hunter in the galaxy wants to prove himself—against you. Challenge other players to see who can score credits the fastest. Take out bounty targets for extra credits and eliminate specially-marked hunters for high-tier loot. When the Mandalorian enters the match, he will hunt down the player with the most credits. You can get to the top but can you stay there?

- Fixed an issue where the B.R.U.T.E. did not get destroyed when players drove it outside the island boundary.
- Fixed an issue where the Prop-O-Matic could not be deleted when it was placed in the ground or under the map.
Islands Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where Featured Island portals had shifted to the left on Hub Islands.
- Fixed an issue where the My Island and Creative Mode text would overflow from their designated areas.
Creative Tools and Phone Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the Device and Prefab tabs were swapped when viewing the Creative Inventory.
- Fixed an issue where the Player Inventory was opened by default instead of the Creative Inventory.
- Fixed an issue where the Phone Tool would unequip and become unavailable when placing prefabs.
Prefabs and Galleries Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue with the toolbox in the Lazy Links Garage Prefab being searchable.
- Fixed an issue where alternate wood resource roof assets were missing from the Lazy Links Gallery.
- Fixed an issue where assets from the Nature Snow Gallery did not display snow. Snowy hedges may need to be replaced in some maps.

- Motion Axis setting stuck on "Roll" on Nintendo Switch.

Fortnite update 15.30 arrives late in Chapter 2 Season 5, but it's certainly not lacking in content. Bounties were a huge new addition at the start of the season, and now they're a central feature of the Mando's Bounty mode. Instead of eliminating any target you see in traditional Battle Royale, this mode sends players after specific targets on a consistent basis. It also features the ongoing threat of the Mandalorian as well, which we imagine will be an AI-controlled enemy with high stats. As for the two new weapons, we're most stoked about the Chug Cannon. A new Quad Launcher might be cool enough, but it doesn't sound very unique.
On the Creative side, the main additions found in update 15.30 are the End Game Device, improved checkpointing and the ability to spawn in an Island without a Pickaxe. The latter setting makes most sense in weapon-based modes, and it might even bring some new tension to horror maps too. The Checkpoint Device should make threshold areas easier to see, which could render some of the toughest Deathruns a bit less painful.
With regard to the End Game, this device simply makes win conditions a bit more direct. Modes with time limits can end once a certain point limit has passed, and CTF concepts can finish after a special object has been captured. It allows creators more freedom to design the concept they want without hassle. While some Fortnite may have thought update 15.30 would be a bit boring this late in the season, it offers major features in nearly every facet of the game.
