Even though Fortnite update 5.21 is technically a Content Update, it still fixes quite a few lingering problems with the game. The grenade issue, for example, has been dogging Battle Royale enthusiasts since last week. The projectile challenge was technically completable without grenades, but now it operates from the ruleset it should've had in the first place.

As for the Heavy Sniper Rifle, its strength against materials will likely be its biggest impact on the Battle Royale meta. Especially in matchups between groups of skilled players, it's quite common for strategy to shift toward a massive build off. Now that there's another gun able to take out the strongest mats fairly easily, the option to shoot through walls or cause death by fall damage becomes that much more accessible. In short, the Heavy Sniper brings greater nuance to the heavy weapon set.

Fortnite update 5.21 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, iOS and Android.
