The internet has fallen head-over-heels for a "gentle" dog who has never shown aggression—until he falls asleep.
Cosmo is a large dog: a cross between a labrador retriever and a Spanish mastiff—but is the epitome of the term gentle giant, with his owner describing him as a "pampered princess."
The adored pet has an entire TikTok account dedicated just to him—and in particular, the adventures he gets up to in his sleep.

His account, @cosmosnoring, is filled with the giant black dog snoozing on the sofa, his bed, and on the floor, usually snoring loudly, barking, or running in his sleep.
One video in particular has proved popular online, as it showed what appeared to be Cosmo in the fight of his life, while fast asleep.
In the clip, Cosmo is out like a light and snoring, but at the same time he's twitching, baring his teeth and snapping, and at one point his snoring almost becomes a growl.
He shakes his head from side to side, his hackles raised, and appears to be acting out a fight with either prey or an enemy.
His owner captioned the video: "I've never once seen him bare his teeth while he's awake but he's dreaming about enemy spaniel."
And TikTok users loved it, many rooting for Cosmo in his sleep-fight, as one declared: "Postman in that dream better run"—to which his owner replied: "Oh no, he's besties with our postie!"
"Get off my lawn," another joked, while one wrote: "This backyard ain't big enough for the both of us."
One user said it looked as though Cosmo was "going through all the things he should have said in the argument that happened hours ago."
And as one commenter worried there could be a medical issue behind Cosmo's actions, his owner assured them they had gone to the vet previously, and it was confirmed "he just has wild sleep dreams. He sleep trots, and chats in his sleep."
As his owner told another commenter: "He's a lover not a fighter, but the second he's unconscious it's over for his enemies."

Cosmo is a mix of two breeds known for their intelligence and friendliness: the labrador retriever has long been one of the most popular choices for families thanks to their gentle and loyal nature.
Spanish mastiffs, meanwhile, are also known for being hugely affectionate towards family, and a fierce defender of livestock as a working dog. The giant breed can grow up to 35 inches at the shoulder, and weigh up to 200 pounds, according to the American Kennel Club (AKC).
