A dad called for help online after his daughter got a comb stuck in her hair the day before she was to attend Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert in London.

Dulcie, 9, returned from her friend's house on June 22 with her hair in a matted mess after she twisted her hair around a comb to try to make the front sections curly.

"The conditioner has not worked, has it? We still have a comb stuck in our hair. We're a bit stumped. We don't know what to do, do we?

"We've tried twisting it, we've tried sliding it. So we have reached desperation stage," Roly May, 46, said on TikTok.

The father showed the camera his pair of scissors as his daughter appeared devastated at the prospect of losing her locks in footage which amassed 234,600 likes and 4.6 million views.

This is not the first time Dulcie had a comb caught in her hair, her mother Katy told Newsweek.

Previously, her mom had been able to get it out using copious amounts of conditioner.

This time, it was Roly's turn to deal with the major hair mishap since Katy had to go out.

In the video, the dad revealed he would first try to get the comb out with scissors by avoiding cutting the actual hair and instead slashing the plastic teeth of the hair utensil.

Dulcie said she had very little confidence in her dad to remove the styling tool with minimal damage, she measured her hope with a 1 out of 100 rating.

In the next video documenting the saga. the dad revealed the end result.

"The comb is out! She thinks I've taken off too much hair," the dad said, as Dulcie shook her head.

Roly then revealed the amount of hair Dulcie lost. Thankfully, it was not a noticeable chunk.

The end result of the mishap.

...

He told Newsweek: "We covered it in conditioner and it kind of started to work.

"We lost quite a bit, but she was quite impressed with the job I did. It took a good hour and a half, I missed the football. She was pretty good, it didn't hurt her too much. There were only a few 'oooohs' and 'aaaahs.'

"I think she has learned her lesson this time."

The end result was promising—Dulcie did not have a bald spot, just a few shorter strands of hair. She was able to attend Taylor Swift's Wembley Stadium gig the following day without any noticeable damage to her hair.

In the video, a mischievous Dulcie joked she would twist her hair with a comb again to prove to her dad his fix-up job was worse than her mom's.

TikTok users shared their tales of hair mishaps and their advice.

"This is bringing back my trauma when this happened to me," Tegan wrote

"I did that once and my mum had to snap the comb," said Nadia.

"Universal experience," said one user, while Darren joked: "Charity shave last resort."
