When will The Good Place series finale air on NBC?

The Good Place Season 4, Episodes 13 and 14 will both air on Thursday, January 30, starting at 9 p.m. ET and continuing until 10 p.m., when the Seth Meyers special will air directly following the last ever episode.

Internationally, the episodes will be available the following day on Netflix from one minute past midnight Pacific Time. When the show airs in your country will depend on your time different from the west coast of America—in the U.K., for example, the episodes will be released at 8:01 a.m. GMT. However, international viewers may not get the Seth Meyers special on Netflix.

U.S. fans, meanwhile, will be able to watch the episode online shortly after it airs on NBC on the network's website and app. Those who want to catch up with the series in America before the series finale can do so on Netflix, which has the first three seasons, and Hulu, who have the episodes of The Good Place Season 4 that have aired so far. Internationally, the entire series so far is available on Netflix.

Speaking about what fans can expect from the finale, star Kristen Bell said to Entertainment Weekly that the ending was heavier than she was expecting, adding, "It's not like everybody dies in a fiery car crash. What it says to the audience is what was so heavy to me. And I thought, 'Wow, are people actually even going to want to hear this? Because it's easier not to.'"

Speaking to Newsweek when The Good Place Season 4 began in fall 2019, showrunner Mike Schur said of the build-up to the finale, "the experiment that the original cast is sort of engaging and with these new people is really the first half of the season. It's [episode] one through seven. And then everything after that is the second half of the season, which is the results of the experiment and the sort of endgame that arises from those results. We actually get to but we get to the real meat of the story pretty quickly after the experiment and it sort of unfolds inexorably from there."

Asked how early into the process he knew how the show was going to end, the showrunner said: "Somewhere in the middle of or at the end of season two, we sort of started imagining the ending. And in general terms, we stuck to the plan.

"But the joy of having a writers room is that you get to leave your options open as long as you want and hope that someone in the room comes up with better ideas than the ones that you had. So it changed and morphed in sort of two different little winding paths, but the true endgame is generally speaking what I imagined it would be for a while.

"We tried to keep our options open as long as we could, and then once we really knew what the shape of it was we committed, and we knew what that whole thing was before we really started writing the last season."

The Good Place Season 4 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
