WWE 'Greatest Royal Rumble' Update: Rusev vs Undertaker Back On, Two More Matches Confirmed

In a strange turn of events, WWE reinserted Rusev into the casket match against the Undertaker at Greatest Royal Rumble. According to WWE, Rusev's wife Lana had a change of heart and asked for the former U.S. Champion to go toe-to-toe with the Undertaker in Saudi Arabia.

This marks the second change in less than a week for the Rusev and Undertaker match. On April 11, WWE first announced the casket match, leading to some self-aware tweets from Rusev about the upcoming bout. A day later, WWE changed the match at the behest of Lana and swapped Rusev with Chris Jericho, and now the match is back to square one.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, this is all storyline for Rusev. However, the endgame is not easy to predict. It seems WWE fans will have to wait to see where this all ends up for Rusev.

After the first night of the Superstar Shakeup, Jinder Mahal moves to RAW after losing his U.S. Championship to Jeff Hardy. A rematch will take place at Greatest Royal Rumble. Also, Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt defeated The Revival to become Cesaro and Sheamus' opponents in Saudi Arabia for the vacant RAW Tag Team Championships.

The Greatest Royal Rumble will see all men's titles defended. Brock Lesnar will face Roman Reigns in a cage match for the Universal Championship, and the Intercontinental Championship will be defended in a ladders match between current champ Seth Rollins, Miz, Samoa Joe and Finn Balor. Bludgeon Brothers will defend their SmackDown Tag Team Championships against The Usos, and John Cena will have a one-on-one match with Triple H. The WWE Championship and Cruiserweight Championships will also be defended, but the matchups have not been confirmed.

A 50-man Royal Rumble match will be the biggest in the company's history, with New Day, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Daniel Bryan, Baron Corbin, Apollo, Shelton Benjamin, Elias, Sin Cara, Chad Gable, Goldust, Titus O'Neil, Mojo Rawley, Dolph Ziggler, Kane, Big Show and Braun Strowman as confirmed participants.

Greatest Royal Rumble will stream on the WWE Network April 27 at 12 p.m. EDT.
