Black Friday and Cyber Monday have passed but Monday was yet another shopping day during the holiday season, Green Monday.

The lesser known shopping event is one of the latest of the season and usually happens on the second Monday in December. It's also usually around the same time as the final days shoppers can buy online and know their item will still be delivered in time for Christmas Day.

The name came from eBay, the online bidding retailer that allowed shoppers to make bids on items online. The site dubbed the second Monday in December "Green Monday" in 2007, according to The Balance. eBay itself was boasting Green Monday deals Monday with new deals released every hour throughout the day. Those deals were on all sorts of things from MacBooks to vacuums, and everything on sale came with free shipping as well.
