'Grey's Anatomy' Spoilers: Everything We Know About Season 15

Chris Carmack is joining the staff at Grey Sloan Memorial in Grey's Anatomy Season 15, Deadline reported Tuesday.

Carmack will be recurring as an orthopedic surgeon nicknamed an "Ortho God" on the medical drama. The actor just finished six seasons as Will Lexington, a country singer, on the country music drama Nashville, which premiered in 2012 on ABC. It aired its series finale Thursday on CMT.

Given the numerous relationships there have been on Grey's Anatomy, it's likely only a matter of time before Carmack's character is a love interest for one of the other doctors at the hospital. The theme of Season 15 is "The Season of Love," TVLine reported on July 23.

Any discussions about relationships on the show moving forward have to include Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Alex (Justin Chambers). The two got married in the Season 14 finale, and Luddington has ideas about what comes next for the couple. "They'll be navigating newlywed territory together. I don't know what that means necessarily, but they're probably going to be a hot mess at some point," the actress, who has been on the ABC series since 2012, told Entertainment Tonight Online on July 25.

She would like to see them "have some sort of shared responsibility together," like a fish or a dog, "before they ever have a kid and see what that side of them looks like," she told Us Weekly on July 24. She wants to see her character get "answers to why she was left in the way that she was left," she told the publication.

Luddington repeated that desire to TVLine on July 21. "I do hope that at some point Jo does find out who her family [is]," she said. "I feel like that's the final mystery behind her that she doesn't have any information on." Jo's mother left her at a fire station when she was two weeks old. She was in multiple foster homes until she started living out of a car at 16.

Luddington revealed, "there's not a massive time jump" when Season 15 begins and she'd "heard rumors Jo might find her specialty" in the video interview with TVLine.

Without a time jump, the new season should see Teddy's pregnancy. Kim Raver returned in the Season 14 finale as Dr. Teddy Altman. Teddy told a patient she was pregnant. Raver, who was a series regular for Seasons 6 to 8, guest starred in Season 14 and will return as a series regular this fall, according to The Hollywood Reporter in May. "I have a special place in my heart for Teddy and feel very lucky to have the opportunity to continue her story," the actress said in a statement.

The two-hour Grey's Anatomy Season 15 premiere airs Thursday, September 27 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
