Amelia's Paternity Results Teased in 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16 Sneak Peek

It's back to the normal chaos on Season 16 of Grey's Anatomy.

Now that the staff has said their final farewells to Dr. Alex Karev, whose sudden departure was finally addressed and answered on the show last week, the white coats walking the halls of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital will go back to their usual daily musings, trying to heal their patients' problems and their own.

The medical drama will coincide with Station 19 for yet another dramatic crossover episode on Thursday, starting with Dr. Jackson Avery's (Jesse Williams) squabble with his girlfriend, Station 19's Vic (Barrett Dos).

Since Grey's Season 16 returned from winter break, the pair have relished in the bliss that typically comes along with a new relationship. But from the looks of the episode 16 sneak peek, the honeymoon phase may soon be coming to an end.

The synopsis for episode 16, titled, "Life On Mars," hinted at Jackson and Vic "hitting a snag," while a teaser clip hinted at Vic trying to move the relationship forward faster than Jackson would like. She's ready to take their relationship to the next level—with or without Jackson's approval. So, she takes it upon herself to move into his place, and to no one's surprise, Jackson doesn't seem pleased by this idea.

"You can't move into my apartment and not tell me," Jackson said in the episode trailer.

Vic responds with a shrug and a smile that feels a lot like she's not very phased by Jackson's irritation. But if there's anything viewers learned from Jackson's old relationship with ex Dr. Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary), it's that he's not one to be rushed or pushed into anything he doesn't want to be apart of.

The latest Grey's love triangle—or rather, baby triangle—will also get some screen time this week.

Although Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) had been avoiding taking a paternity test to determine whether Dr. Atticus Lincoln (Chris Carmack) or Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) was the father of her unborn child, she will finally do her due diligence and learn which of the two men will be connected to her for the next 18 years or longer.

Amelia will also reveal her seed's paternity to the suspected fathers. The results could break not only her relationship with Link but Owen's with his longtime love and mother of his daughter, Dr. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver).

But before Amelia breaks the news to Link and Owen, she'll have to help Station 19 fire Captain Robert Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe) address the fact that he's addicted to painkillers. "You are using just to get through the morning," she said. "You're sick Robert, and it ends with being dead."

Grey's Anatomy airs on ABC at 9 p.m. ET, just an hour after Station 19.

Viewers can catch the new episode via live stream on ABC's website and app. Those with Hulu +Live and YouTube TV can also tune in through their subscriptions.
