How to Watch 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16: Episode 2 'Back in the Saddle' Spoilers, Live Stream and More Info

Grey's Anatomy returned with a slew of makeups, breakups and medical dramas during the Season 16 premiere. Things will only continue to intensify for many of the staff members at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital when episode 2 airs on Thursday.

A synopsis for the episode, dubbed "Back in the Saddle," teased tension ahead for Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) as he makes his return to the hospital from maternity lead and "struggles" to accept Tom Koracick's (Greg Germann) new position as "chief-of-chiefs" since Bailey (Chandra Wilson) fired the hospitals previous chief, Richard Webber (James Pickens, Jr.) for his role in Season 16's insurance fraud scandal. It's not surprising Owen is uncomfortable with Tom's new boss title, especially when he knows the head neurosurgeon is still going after the mother of his newborn child, Teddy (Kim Raver).

Speaking of baby mama drama, the episode will also shed more light on Amelia Shepard's (Caterina Scorsone) situation. After discovering she may be pregnant during the shocking Season 16 premiere, she'll face a "new revelation in her relationship" with Link (Chris Carmack), which may determine the fate of their fleeting relationship. Although it's worth noting that OB-GYN Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato) only guessed Amelia was pregnant when the young M.D. came to ask for a three-some on last week's episode. Viewers never actually saw Amelia take a pregnancy test to confirm Carina's hunch.

Meanwhile, Jo Karev (Camilla Luddington) will ready herself to go back to work following her 30-day stint at a psychiatric facility.

Outside of the hospital, Richard and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers), who was also fired for committing insurance fraud, will face a few hiccups in their plan to get hired at a different hospital. Their counterpart in the scam Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), on the other hand, will be busy diagnosing everyone around her as the medical board debates whether or not to revoke her doctor's license.

In an episode sneak peek released by TVLine on Thursday, Meredith somehow manages to turn parole-ordered community service job of picking trash to a roadside urgent care clinic and she's using Levi Schmitt (Jake Borelli) to steal medical supplies from the hospital for her.

Grey's Anatomy airs on ABC at 8 p.m. ET. Viewers without access to television can still catch the episode via live stream on ABC's website and the ABC GO app. However, a cable provider login will still be needed to access the stream on any smart device.
