Gym Offering Reward to Find Sauna 'Pee Guy' Leaves Internet Giggling

A man has gained attention online after sharing a poster apparently left at his gym offering a bounty for a "pee guy" who has been urinating in the sauna.

Located in Oregon, the gym is on the hunt for an individual who has allegedly been using the sauna as a bathroom—and they're even offering a year-long free membership for anyone who finds them.

Reddit user "4_that_ents" shared the post just yesterday, gaining over 53,000 votes in the Subreddit "Trashy," while a later re-share to "Mildly Infuriating" gained over 15,000.

"My gym is trying to catch a phantom pisser," he titled the image.

"Bust the pee guy," instructed the bright yellow poster, posted on the bathroom mirror. "Win a free 1 year membership!!"

According to the poster, all gym goers need to do is check the sauna anytime they're nearby to see if they can find someone in there and catch the "pee guy" red handed.

"How to win: Whenever you're in the restroom, just poke your head in the sauna and look for someone peeing in it! Tell the front desk the time and day and description of the dirtbag and win!"

After the Reddit user gave more details, saying: "It's kind of a sauna, locker room, bathroom combo," he added: "Can you blame the guy?"

Thanks to its bizarreness, the situation and bounty hunt entertained many online, who rushed to express their views in the comments.

"This is 100% a plot for an episode of Seinfeld," commented one user.

"This is fantastic. What a fun game," added another.

"When I worked at a police dept in a University, we had some asshole going into the toilets in one particular building and intentionally ramming all the toilet paper into the toilets. For the cherry on top, he would take a shit on top of it after it backed up. Staff dubbed him the "Poo Poo" bandit. Flyers went up, and the team was asked about anyone suspicious in the restrooms. He was never caught," recalled another user.

The sign certainly isn't the only time unconventional gym peeing choices have come to the forefront in recent months. Just last month, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson confirmed in an Esquire interview that he doesn't use the bathroom at gyms, and simply uses a water bottle while working out instead.

"I do pee in my water bottles, but let me give context to that," he told the publication. "'Cause everyone's leaning in now to what this means. It's not a water bottle that I've actually purchased solely for water that you wash and you clean when you're done using it."

"These are just bottles that I'm no longer using. And usually the gyms that I work out in don't have a bathroom...There's no bathroom there, it's just hot, sweaty, and dirty. I usually stay pretty hydrated; I need to go to the bathroom a lot. Not a lot, but probably a couple of times during every workout I have to go to the bathroom. So, break out the bottle."
