Hearthstone players all across the world are about to be infected. A new patch has just dropped in Blizzard's card game, bringing in nerfs to six cards that have dominated the meta. But there's also something else. For too long, Rexxar, Jaina, Uther and their team of warriors have remained devoted to their Loa, but it's time to worship a new deity. Hakkar, the insectoid Deathrattle minion from Rastakhan's Rumble, wants to spread his toxic curse to everyone he can. And he's going to do it with a card back.

How to Unlock Mark of Hakkar Card Back
Read More on Video Games
Players will be able to earn the Mark of Hakkar card back in Hearthstone by playing against someone that uses it. In order to unlock the card back, you'll need to play a full game versus someone that has the card back already equipped. A small number of users have been given the Mark of Hakkar already, so you'll have to find them in order to get one yourself. Card back completionists are going to have to play a lot of games of Hearthstone in order to unlock the exclusive.
Matches in Standard, Ranked or Arena will grant you the Mark of Hakkar card back. If you just want to spread the vile to your friends, you can also earn the card back in friendly games.
The event does not have an end date and the card back will continue to spread as long as there are new players who haven't seen the Mark of Hakkar. It's an interesting experiment in Hearthstone's reach and its player base. Will users that have managed to find themselves infected equip the card back and play as many games as possible? Or will they shelve it in their collection so they can hoard it just for themselves?
The card back is a reference to the Corrupted Blood Incident which transformed World of Warcraft into a graveyard in 2005.
Blizzard has granted me with the curse, allowing my Spell Hunter deck to infest as many players as I possibly can. This is an honor, and I'll be glad to share my sickness around. Send your best tweet devoting yourself to Hakkar to @IAmAsarch and I may just add you in-game to get down with the sickness
