Heidi Klum has, once again, reclaimed her title as the 'Queen of Halloween' thanks to her latest dramatic transformation, where she turned herself into an enormous severed replica of her own left hand.
The supermodel-turned-TV presenter unveiled her jaw-dropping costume as she arrived at her infamous, annual Halloween party which was held at Cathédrale Restaurant at Moxy East Village in New York City on Saturday October 31.

The prosthetic costume included minute details of her own hand, such as the fine lines and veins of her palm, her long red fingernails, and even oversized versions of her rings.
Her face was incorporated into the design near the bloodied wrist, alongside gruesome-looking tendons, ligaments, and bone, all designed to make the hand look freshly severed.
It also incorporated a tattoo of the name of her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, on her ring finger. Kaulitz was unable to attend this year's celebration because he was on tour, but Klum joked that "a little bit of Tom" was still with her.
The transformation wasn't a quick one, though. Klum said it took around five to six hours to get into the costume, while the finished creation was also incredibly physically demanding to wear, saying that “Hands down, the hardest thing is carrying it,” as it was so heavy. She was accompanied into the party by assistants wearing blood-spattered protective suits, helping to complete the grisly scene.
Klum said the idea came to her last year after looking at her own hand and wondering whether her entire body could fit inside a giant version of it.

The supermodel, 53, is known for going all out for her annual Halloween celebrations, often spending months planning her outfits and enlisting teams of special-effects artists to bring her ideas to life.
Heidi Klum's Boldest Halloween Costumes Through The Years
From transforming into a giant worm to recreating the iconic extraterrestrial E.T., Klum has rarely shied away from an unconventional Halloween look. As fans take in her newest transformation, Newsweek looks back at five of her boldest Halloween costumes through the years.

...
Medusa (2025)
Klum embraced Greek mythology for her Halloween costume last year, transforming into Medusa, the mythical Gorgon whose gaze could turn people to stone.

...
The elaborate outfit featured a headpiece covered in moving snakes, reptilian facial prosthetics, fangs, and a long serpent-like tail.
Her husband, Tom Kaulitz, complemented the look by dressing as a warrior who had been turned to stone.
According to Klum, the costume took five months to create, with extensive hand-painted details helping bring the mythical character to life.
E.T. (2024)
Klum and Kaulitz went out of this world in 2024, transforming into the beloved alien character E.T. from Steven Spielberg's 1982 science-fiction film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
The incredibly detailed costumes featured oversized heads, long necks and realistic facial prosthetics, with the couple's faces cleverly incorporated into the designs.

...
The transformation was a major undertaking, requiring an entire year of preparation and the work of around 30 special-effects artists.
Speaking to Vogue, Klum explained that the film was one of her favorite childhood movies and that she had wanted to recreate the character for Halloween.
It reportedly took seven hours for each of them to get into costume on the night.
The Worm (2022)
Perhaps one of Klum's most unexpected transformations came in 2022, when she arrived at her annual Halloween party dressed as a giant earthworm.
The full-body costume encased almost her entire body in a realistic pink-and-brown worm design, with only her eyes and mouth visible through the prosthetics.
Rather than walking down the red carpet, Klum wriggled and rolled along the ground, with Kaulitz dressed as a fisherman holding a fishing rod attached to her.

...
The model revealed that she had spent two years developing the idea, explaining that she wanted something unusual, absurd and slightly disgusting.
Once inside the party, she eventually removed the worm exterior to reveal a sparkling bodysuit underneath.
Alien Zombie (2019)
Klum took her Halloween transformation to another planet in 2019, appearing as a gruesome alien creature with exposed organs, a metallic skeleton and layers of elaborate prosthetics.
The supermodel spent more than 12 hours getting ready, with a team of special-effects artists applying latex, body paint and intricate facial prosthetics to create the nightmarish look.
Her husband complemented the costume by dressing as a bloodied astronaut, with the pair creating an elaborate backstory for their characters.

...
Kaulitz explained that he had been searching for a new planet for humanity when he discovered Klum's alien character and brought her back to Earth.
The transformation was so elaborate that Klum allowed fans to watch parts of the process live from an Amazon storefront in New York City.
Princess Fiona (2018)
Klum brought the world of Shrek to life in 2018, transforming into Princess Fiona alongside her then-boyfriend, now-husband, Kaulitz, who dressed as the famous green ogre.
The couple underwent hours of makeup and prosthetic work to recreate the animated characters, complete with Fiona's distinctive green skin, red hair and medieval-style outfit.

...
The costume was particularly meaningful to Klum, who told Entertainment Tonight: "I kind of always wanted to be Fiona, but I never had the Shrek to do it with."
The pair's transformation became one of the most memorable couples costumes in the history of her Halloween celebrations.
