'Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice' on Xbox One? Release Could Be Surprisingly Soon

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice enjoyed high critical praise following its PS4 and PC release last year. Meanwhile, Xbox One owners have been patiently waiting for the "timed exclusive" clock to strike zero. While developer Ninja Theory hasn't confirmed anything yet, it looks like the exclusive period for PS4 is coming to a close.

The first clue comes from the Australian Classifications Board, the organization responsible for rating games in Australia. As seen here, it rated Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice as a multi-platform game on March 6, which it technically already is (thanks to a PS4 and PC release). Unfortunately, this isn't the most reliable source, seeing as how it has also classified games like Super Mario Odyssey as multi-platform, despite it only releasing for the Nintendo Switch. The important thing here is that the Australian Classifications Board rated Hellblade so recently.

The more interesting evidence comes from Taiwan. As noted by Gematsu, Hellblade has a specific Xbox One rating and box art. That's some pretty conclusive evidence we're getting an Xbox One port soon.

So when will this version release? This will likely go one of two ways. Either the port will be announced soon and released this summer, or they will be held back so Microsoft can announce it during E3. If it's the second scenario, expect to see a release date somewhere in the fall.
