The Lion King is now the 42nd film to make $1 billion at the global box office, joining recent hits Spider-Man: Far From Home, Aladdin and Avengers Endgame in what is turning into a big year for Tinseltown. But what other movies have broken the billion-dollar barrier?
Newsweek decided to take a look at all the movies to achieve this major milestone, based on data from Box Office Mojo as of July 31, 2019.
