Hilary Duff Admits Daughter Loves Listening to Her Old 'Teeny Bopper' Music
On a recent talk show, Hilary Duff admitted to listening to her old music in the car because her daughter loved hearing it. The interview clip was posted on social media that has gone viral.
When doing an interview on The Late Late Show With James Corden, she explained that her daughter has a new love for Duff's old "teeny bopper" music she released in the early to mid-2000s. The video was posted to Tiktok that now has over 4 million views and 520,000 likes.
The actress and singer, known for her role as Lizzie McGuire in the early 2000's self-titled TV series on Disney Channel, has been in countless movies and has six studio albums out. Some of Duff's popular songs on Spotify are "Sparks" (61 million streams), "Come Clean" (43 million streams), and "So Yesterday" (37 million streams).
The How I Met Your Father star confessed to Corden that someone played Duff's daughter her old music. "Now I have to bump it in my car at full volume," she said.
She believes that it could be embarrassing to be blasting her own music while driving, even asking her daughter if they can play something more recent, including Dua Lipa.
Duff admitted that they listened to Encanto's "We Don't Talk About Bruno." "We've expired Bruno and now we're back into deep Hilary Duff cuts and I'm driving and it's loud and she loves her window down and it's horrific," she said.
Corden joked, "Hilary Duff makes her children listen to her albums."
Duff defended her old music. "Honestly but then there is moments where I'm like 'this is a damn bop!'"
