Home Depot Black Friday Ad Deals on Technology, Tools and More

As Black Friday approaches, previews are being released to show Americans how they can save money this holiday season.

Home Depot is the most recent to release its Black Friday ad scan, and is one of the last major retailers to announce its plans.

The 2019 ad features 40 pages of deals on appliances, smart home tech, tools, Christmas decorations and more. The online sale will start at 6:00 a.m. ET on Thanksgiving Day. Physical stores are closing on Thanksgiving and will reopen on Black Friday at 6:00 a.m. local time.

Deals website BlackFriday.com has told Newsweek which discounts will work in the favor of the shopper and which deals should be avoided.

What to buy:

• Google Home Mini for $19; this is the same price as elsewhere, but Home Depot is offering this as a bundle for extra value. Customers can get a free Google Home Mini when they spend $90 or more on WYZE products in-store.
• Purchase a Google Home mini for $10 when you purchase select products in store, including a Google Chromecast for $25.
• $10 off when you purchase select Smart Philips Wi-Fi LED Bulbs & a Google Home mini.
• Get $100 off when purchasing both Ring Video Doorbell Pro and Chime Pro together, valid until December 4, 2019.
• $99 off when if customers buy two Ring Outdoor Spotlight Cams, which ends December 2, 2019.
• $40 off when buying both a select Ring Indoor Security Camera and Smart Video Doorbell, valid until December 4, 2019.
• Get a free DeWalt select power tool with purchase of a 20-volt max 2-battery 5.0ah kit for $199.
• Ryobi 18-Volt ONE+ 6-Tool Combo Kit with two 2.0 Ah Batteries and 18-Volt Charger for $199, saving $150).
• Customers can also buy a Ryobi 18-Volt ONE+ Lithium-Ion Cordless 9-Tool Combo Kit with two Batteries, Charger, and Bag for $299, saving $351.
• Free select power tool with purchase of a Makita LXT 18-volt 2-battery 4.0ah kit for $199, and because one of the free options is a two pack of 4.0ah batteries, customers can get a total of four batteries with this deal.

Deals to avoid:

• Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Bagless Vacuum for $118; Kohl's has a better deal at $84.99.
• Shark Rocket Ultra-Light Vacuum for $98; Target has a better deal at $84.99.
• Ring Video Doorbell for $99; this is a cheap price, but it's the original Ring, and other retailers (including Best Buy and Target) are offering the Ring Video Doorbell 2 for just $30 more at $129.
• Skip Home Depot's Ring Video Doorbell Pro deal as well which is priced at $249; Amazon is offering a Black Friday price of $179.
• Ring Video Smart Doorbell 2 for $139; customers can get a better deal for $129.99 at Target and Best Buy.

Home Depot has also launched three new holiday collections: Sugarplum Knoll Collection, Jingle Jubilee Collection and Ashford Meadows Collection. These collections include trees, wreaths, garland, ornaments and more, and are available in store and online.
