'For Honor' Patch Notes: Update 2.06 Adds New Arcade Map, Seasonal Event, Bug Fixes and More

On Thursday, Ubisoft released its latest For Honor update - 2.06. The patch notes reveal the update brings fixes and balance changes for fighters, while also introducing a new Arcade map and the start of a new seasonal event, Black Prior's Riposte. 'For Honor' Patch Notes: Everything New and Changed in Update 2.06

Seasonal Event - Black Prior's Riposte

From March 14-28, For Honor will host a new seasonal event dubbed Balck Prior's Riposte. The event focuses on Vortiger, the Black Prior. During the event, players will experience a new limited-time 4v4 game mode called Battle of Attrition as well as a new look for the game's main menu, face-off screen, thematic orders, and themed soldiers and objectives.

Player who participate in the For Honor event will have the ability to unlock new emblem outlines as well as loot new event-exclusive items and weapons such as:

  • Vortiger's Hawk ornament
  • Vortiger's Riposte battle outfit
  • Vortiger's Dark Oath effect.

The event also brings new and exclusive Anima outfits for all factions. Unlocking the outfits costs 20,000 Steel each. The new outfits are as follows:

  • Ardent Aquila for the Knights
  • Vengeful Valravn for the Vikings
  • Fortunate Fukuro for the Samurai
  • Zealous Zhu Que for the Wu LinA

Finally, players participating in the event will can also unlock a new free-roam emote, Vortiger's Ascent, for 10,000 Steel.

Arcade Changes

  • New Map - The Harbor has been added to the potential maps that a Quest can be played in.
  • New Objective Types in Weekly Quests
    • Survive: Stay alive until the timer runs out, Bots will continuously respawn while the timer runs out.
    • Kill Target: Defeat the marked enemy to achieve immediate victory.
    • Known Issue - In order to fix an issue in the resolution screen of both new objectives, you will now see the Bots slowly disappear at the end of an encounter. This should only happen during a Victory screen and not a Defeat. This will be fixed in a future update.

In Game HUD

  • With the positive feedback from the last game mode event we replaced the Breaking widget with the Team Versus widget for the entire match, this initiative is progressively added to the game and it is now available in Dominion and Skirmish.
  • The timer has been moved from Game Mode widget to the Team Versus widget.


  • Renamed Masks Tab to Illustrious Tab
    • Mask tab was renamed because of the [REDACTED] outfits.
    • Mask Outfits and [REDACTED] outfits will be available in the Illustrious Tab starting with this update.
    • Developer comments: With the arrival of the [REDACTED] outfits, we decided to change the tab name to better fit the new content.



  • Revenge- Revenge meter is no longer increased when in 1v1, or when you outnumber your opponent.
    • 1v2 Revenge multiplier increased to 0.70 (from 0.50)
    • 1v3 Revenge multiplier increased to 0.90 (from 0.75)
    • 1v4 Revenge multiplier increased to 1.00 (from 0.80)
    • Developer Comment: the intention is to generate Revenge only when you're outnumbered. This is to promote 1v1 battles during 4v4 modes. By increasing the outnumbered multipliers, we want to compensate for the Revenge you would have gained in a 1v1 before ending up in the 1v2 situation.
  • Unbalance - Unbalance state no longer has Dodge properties (it used to have it from 0 to 300ms).
    • Developer Comment: This should mean far fewer instances of Unbalancing an Out of Stamina opponent and whiffing your follow-up attack. Additionally, while the existing Out of Stamina punishes still function, there are now some new max-punishes that are possible.


  • Shinobi
    • Slide Tackle now starts to hit at 600ms (from 300ms)
    • Zone Attack's 3rd strike can now be feinted.
    • Developer Comment: We have already reduced the other Heroes Sprinting Unblockable attacks in previous patches. The reason is that we don't want these Sprinting Unblockables to be the focus of 1v1 matches, and would prefer to improve the options in Locked combat.
  • Jiang Jun - Removed Uninterruptible Stance on the Dou Shi Choke strike.

UPDATE: Additional balance changes were added on March 14 in a 2.06.1 patch. They are as follows:

  • Warlord - Increased Warlord's "Heabutt" into "Stab" damage to 15 (from 12)
  • Jiang Jun
    • Decreased Jiang Jun's Top Heavy Finisher damage to 38 (from 45)
    • Decreased Jiang Jun's Side Heavy finisher damage to 35 (from 40)
    • Decreased Jiang Jun's Light finisher damage to 18 (from 20)
    • Decreased Jiang Jun's Zone Attacks damage to 25 (from 28)
  • Black Prior
    • Decreased Black Prior's Light Finisher damage to 17 (from 20)
    • Decreased Black Prior's Heavy Finisher Damage to 35 (from 40)
    • Increased Black Prior's "Tenebris Rising" Recovery to 500ms (from 300ms)
    • Increased Black Prior's Full Block Stance exit animation to 400ms (from 200ms)


  • Soothing Mist- Healing values:
    • If 0 nearby enemies: 10 HP (from 25 HP)
    • If 1 nearby enemies: 15 HP (from 40 HP)
    • If 2 nearby enemies: 20 HP (from 55 HP)
    • If 3 nearby enemies: 25 HP (from 70 HP)
    • If 4 nearby enemies: 30 HP (from 85 HP)
    • Cool down increased to 120s (from 60s).
    • Developer comments: We're rebalancing Soothing Mist to require more consideration of when to use it. Before, with the high heal values and short cool down, it could be used in every fight.
  • Revenge Attacks
    • No longer gives Revenge meter when attacking Soldiers, Pikemens and Archers.
    • Developer comments: This functionality had to be removed to prevent Revenge exploits.
  • Punch Through
    • The effect now also applies to Light Attacks that are Blocked but not Interrupted.
    • Developer comments: Uninterruptible Light Attacks deal chip damage, so for consistency's sake the Punch Through effect also applies to these cases.
  • Doom Banner - Is no longer removed on death of the user.
  • Stalwart Banner - Is no longer removed on death of the user.
  • Come At Me - Fixed the description to be more precise on the effects of the feat.


  • Survival Instinct - When in Critical Health, gain 25% Stamina Cost Reduction (from 15%).
  • Last Stand - When in Critical Health, gain 40% damage resistance (from 20%).
  • Crush Them - After a kill, your next attack deals 30% more damage (from 20%).
  • Early Reaper - On spawn, your next attack deals 30% more damage (from 20%).
  • Supersonic - In revenge, gain 15% bonus movement speed and uninterruptible sprint. Perk remains active for 10s after Revenge ends.
  • Fresh Focus - When Out of Stamina, blocks and parries recover 20% stamina.Counter Guard Breaks also recover 20%.


  • Hallowed Bastion
    • Reoriented attackers spawn position to give better awareness on side lane status.
    • Streamlined fight experience and in Capture Point 5.
  • Kazan Castle
    • Moved Speed and Attack Boost to make them more relevant in inner courtyard.
    • Streamlined fight experience and in Capture Point 5.


  • Added the option to test the current Microphone volume in the Audio options menu.
    • Developer comment: With this option, players can test the sensitivity and volume of their microphone directly in the audio options menu. The checkbox will uncheck automatically when leaving the menu.
  • Changed the behavior of the Mouse focus in the Menus to reflect the actual selection.
  • When nothing is selected with the mouse, then nothing will be highlighted.

DOMINION - [Bug Fix] The Ballistas in the Sentinel map no longer do a one-shot kill. The damage they inflict is now identical to the Ballistas in Breach.

RANKED - [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that allowed players to disconnect their Ethernet at the end of match to avoid Loss, Ranked Penalty and Quit Penalty.
