How to Get Wendy's Free Chicken Nuggets on Friday
Wendy's is giving away free chicken nuggets at its drive-thru restaurants this Friday. Customers only need to turn up to a Wendy's drive-thru to claim four-piece nuggets for free, with no purchase necessary.
On Monday, Wendy's tweeted: "Not gonna lie, all this love y'all are showing has inspired us. We wish we could give you a hug, but instead...how about a nug? This Friday, we'll be giving out free 4pc spicy and crispy nugs at every Wendy's drive-thru.
"No purchase necessary, not a single string attached."
At the time of writing, the Wendy's tweet had more than 60,000 likes and 9,500 retweets.

The nuggets are described as made with 100 percent white-meat chicken, breaded and marinated in a blend of peppers and spices. The nuggets come in four-piece, six-piece or ten-piece portions, and are served with a choice of six dipping sauces: Buttermilk Ranch, Creamy Sriracha, BBQ, Sweet and Sour, Honey Mustard or Side of S'Awesome.
Wendy's brought back the spicy nuggets in August 2019, after they were originally discontinued due to lack of customer demand. The spicy nuggets typically cost around $1.19, with prices varying by location, but they will be free at all Wendy's drive-thru restaurants on April 24.

If a customer doesn't like spice but is still craving chicken, Wendy's clarified in a follow-up tweet that customers can claim either the spicy nuggets or crispy nuggets for free on Friday.
Additionally, Wendy's is also giving away a free Breakfast Baconator with any mobile order breakfast purchase using the offer on the Wendy's app. Wendy's first introduced its Breakfast Baconator with the rest of its new breakfast menu on March 2, which also features a Frosty-ccino, a honey butter chicken biscuit, and seasoned potatoes.
Wendy's President and CEO, Todd Penegor, said in a statement: "Most Wendy's restaurants are currently operating with drive-thru and delivery service only, and we are incredibly proud of how the Wendy's family has managed through these changes.
"Every restaurant team remains committed to providing an exceptional experience for every Wendy's customer, and we continue to work diligently to serve our communities in the safest way possible."
Currently, Wendy's is using no-contact and limited-contact ordering, focusing on social distancing at its restaurants and is giving its hourly crew members, shift managers and assistant general managers a 10 percent increase in hourly pay over the next five weeks.
The fast-food chain is also protecting part of the monthly bonus for April for its general managers and district managers, and offering free meals for employees, with discounted meals on their days off.
