How Many Children Does Cristiano Ronaldo Have?

Cristiano Ronaldo is widely regarded as one of the best soccer players in history, having become an MVP at teams like Manchester United F.C. and Real Madrid, and his personal and family life has always been of great interest to fans.

Ronaldo has never been married, but he has been in a long-term relationship with model Georgina Rodríguez, who he met while she was working in a shop.

Together, they have just announced they are expecting twins, with Ronaldo sharing the news on Instagram.

He wrote: "Delighted to announce we are expecting twins. Our hearts are full of love - we can't wait to meet you #blessed"

Before the pregnancy was announced, Ronaldo already had four children, one of whom was born to Rodriguez.

His other three children were born via surrogacy, with their birth mothers' identities kept secret.

His first child, Cristiano Jr., was born in 2010 via a surrogate. At the time of his birth, Ronaldo released a statement asking for privacy about the identity of his son's mother, saying, as reported by BBC Sport: "It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become a father to a baby boy.

"With the agreement of the mother, who wishes to remain anonymous, I will have exclusive custody of my son.

"I request everyone to fully respect my right to privacy [and that of the child] at least on issues as personal as these are."

At the time of Cristiano Jr.'s birth, Ronaldo was dating model Irina Shayk. The couple broke up five years later, in 2015.

He then had twins via surrogacy, Eva and Mateo, in 2017. He was, at this time, in a relationship with Rodriguez, who gave birth to his fourth child, a daughter Alana, later that year.

Again, the mother of the twins wasn't known, and hasn't since been revealed.

Now, he and Rodriguez are having twins, after the pair shared an image of them lying in bed, holding sonogram images of the two babies.

Rodriguez has spoken about their relationship before, saying she was intimidated by his "beauty" on their first meeting.

Speaking to Italian magazine Grazia in 2020, she said: "His height, his body, his beauty caught my attention. I was trembling in front of him, but a spark ignited.

"I am very shy and perhaps this stirred me more in front of a person who, with one glance, had touched me deeply. Then after, the way Cristiano treats me, cares for me and loves me did the rest."
