How to Use the Disney Princess Cartoon Filter on Snapchat and TikTok

A TikTok trend is transforming users into Rapunzel and Elsa—but how do you find the Disney princess cartoon filter on TikTok? It turns out that the filter popular on TikTok is actually available on Snapchat.

Although the filter is not directly affiliated with Disney, the larger than life eyes and airbrushed skin has users looking like they've just stepped out of a princess movie.

TikTok user Lauren Woodstra demonstrated the filter in a video that sees her look uncannily like Rapunzel from Disney's Tangled. Woodstra imitates Rapunzel's poses from the movie and lipsyncs to OMC's song "How Bizarre," which is also a popular trend on TikTok right now.

All I needed was green eyes 👀 what character do u look like with the filter #howbizarre #HolidayMusic #fyp #foryou #disney

One TikTok user's video went viral, gaining more than eight million views. User @basic.amoeba shared a video of themselves using the filter, saying "You know how the anime filter was cool? This one is way cooler!" They then make multiple faces and expressions which the filter picks up.

GUYS, IT’S SO AMAZING!!!!! It doesn’t work when I look to the side, but it’s great facing the camera. #filter #cosplayer #animefilter #cartoonfilter

After multiple viewers told the user that they looked like Anna from Frozen, @basic.amoeba posted another video singing "For The First Time In Forever," with the cartoon filter on.

One user has become attached to her Disney transformation. Laura Irwin's first video on TikTok, in which she uses the cartoon filter, gained more than 400,000 views.

In the video, Irwin says: "I was on this filter and then I swiped and went back to how I normally look and I went bah! This is me now. There is no going back. This is... This is it."

Now, you may be wondering—how do you do the Disney princess filter on TikTok? First of all, stop scrolling through your TikTok app to search for the filter and head to Snapchat.

On Snapchat, open your camera, and press the filters button. Then, press the explore button and search "Cartoon." The Snapchat filter popular with TikTok users is called "Cartoon," not "Cartoon face," which looks quite similar.

Film your video on the Snapchat app and save it to your phone before uploading the video to TikTok, to take part in this fun, viral trend and to find out which Disney princess you look like.

The filter also works on men, transforming them into Disney characters too, with men on TikTok using the filter to impersonate characters like Flynn Rider and Kristoff.
