88 – That's the number of Hollywood Foreign Press Association members – the ones who vote on the Golden Globe winners.

55 – The number of countries the HFPA membership represents.

250 Million – Combined readership of publications, including newspapers and magazines, mostly in Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, England, France, Italy, Germany, China and Brazil.

Statue Redux -- As for the Golden Globes statue, designers made it a bit heavier and a smidge taller this year, notes the Los Angeles Times. The iconic globe – entwined in a film strip – remains the same on top. But an all-metal base replaces the previous marble one.
