How to Watch the National Memorial Day Concert 2022: Full List of Performers

Watching the National Memorial Day Concert is an American tradition that has been an annual event for more than three decades.

The Memorial Day public holiday on Monday, May 30, is held to pay tribute to all of the U.S. service members, including those who were lost during combat. However, there will be other Memorial Day events earlier in the long weekend.

Actors Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise are set to co-host the 2022 National Memorial Day Concert on Sunday, May 29, which will feature some well-known faces. It can be streamed live at 8 p.m. ET on the PBS website here. The event will finish at approximately 9:30 p.m.

The free concert takes place outside the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.

Here's the full list of the performers at the concert:

Brian Stokes Mitchell

The Broadway singer and leading actor will project his distinct baritone at the event on Sunday.

Craig Morgan

The American country singer-songwriter is a veteran himself and will be playing his acoustic guitar at the concert.

Dennis Haysbert

The actor and producer, known for his role in the television series 24, will be joining the lineup on Sunday.

Gary Sinise

The award-winning actor, whose film credits include Forrest Gump, Of Mice and Men and The Green Mile, will be one of the event's hosts.

Gil Birmingham

Birmingham is known for playing his role in the popular Twilight saga, as well playing television roles in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Banshee.

Jean Smart

The Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actress is best known for her roles in Designing Women, Garden State, Watchmen, and most recently Hacks.

Joe Mantegna

The American actor, producer and director will be co-hosting the Memorial Day event with Gary Sinise.

Lea Salonga

The multi-award-winning Filipina actress is known for her powerful voice on stage, having starred in Broadway productions such as Miss Saigon.

Mary McCormack

McCormack is known for her roles in television and film, including The West Wing, In Plain Sight, Private Parts and Murder One.

The National Symphony Orchestra & Jack Everly

The orchestra will be under the direction of conductor Jack Everly, the renowned Principal Pops Conductor with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Naples Philharmonic, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra (Ottawa, Canada).

Norm Lewis

The Tallahassee-born actor has appeared on Broadway, as well as in a number of television series and films, including Spike Lee's Da Five Bloods and the ABC drama Scandal.

Pia Toscano

Hailing from New York City, Toscano is known for her performances on American Idol. In the 2011 edition of the show, she came ninth, which shocked some people who thought she could have won the competition.

Rhiannon Giddens

The Grammy-winning multi-instrumentalist is known for her unique blend of blues and country music. She sings and plays fiddle, banjo and viola.

Other performers

There will also be performances at the concert from the Military District of Washington; the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets; the U.S. Army Chorus; the U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters; the U.S. Air Force Singing Sergeants; and the Soldiers' Chorus of the United States Army Field Band.
