What Will Happen in The Orville: New Horizon?

Once again, The Orville will see the crew of the U.S.S. Orville continue their mission of exploration in space.

Along the way, audiences can expect them to encounter a whole host of problems including aliens, personal conflict, and the complexities of the universe.

For fans who are concerned about the move to Hulu and Disney+ changing the nature of the show, do not worry. Creator and star Seth MacFarlane has stressed in an interview with io9 that there is nothing to worry about, promising Season 3 will be linked to its roots.

He said: "It's a really good question that occupies a lot of my thoughts at all times.

"That's always the balance. You want to reward the fans for sticking around and watching the show. And from a writing standpoint, it's fun. You've laid the groundwork, and season three of a show is where you can start to let those seeds you planted early on really start to blossom, and you can dig in and start to do the real world-building. At the same time, of course, the goal is to bring in as many new viewers as possible. And it's a tough thing to answer."
