When, How and Deadline to Check if You're Registered to Vote for the Midterm Elections in all 50 States

Voter registration deadlines are quickly approaching as the highly contested 2018 midterm elections are less than a month away.

Democrats are looking to regain control in Congress and polls show that the party has a good chance of winning back the House of Representatives in November. To do so, they would need to flip at least 24 Republican-held seats to regain a majority. A record-breaking number of women are running for office this election cycle on the Democratic ticket.

The GOP is fighting against what some consider a potential "blue wave" at the polls in response to Donald Trump's controversial presidency. But conservative voters may be more motivated after the confirmation of Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. A recent poll American Barometer poll indicated that 52 percent of Republicans said the Kavanaugh hearings made them more likely to vote in the midterm elections.

As of Monday, voters in 48 states and Washington D.C. can still register to vote in the midterm elections, but the deadlines are quickly approaching.

If you're unsure whether or not you are already registered to vote, you can check you're registration status by entering your name, address, date of birth and email address at www.vote.org.
