Hulu Error Code 500, Streaming Service Down, Not Working

Some Hulu users had their binge-watching interrupted Tuesday afternoon. Many users were seeing error codes when they tried to stream and some were saying that they were being interrupted mid-stream as well.

Other users couldn't even log into their accounts in the first place and just saw error screens after every login attempt. Users were reporting the issues and the website Down Detector showed more then 900 users were reporting the issues. The outage map on Down Detector showed that most of the issues were coming from the United States and specifically along the East Coast.

Some users were reaching out to Hulu Support on Twitter about the issues. While the account hadn't sent a tweet to all users as of 1:15 p.m. EST, it was responding to some users individually.

The account responded to one user and said, "Our developers are investigating similar reports and working to have things back to normal ASAP." The account responded to another user and said, "Our teams are aware of the issue and are investigating further. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience."

Users were still tweeting about the issue though. Some did want the service to tweet something about the outage in general.

Some were checking Twitter to see if they were the only ones experiencing the streaming issues.

It seemed the issues were spanning different devices as well, users were pointing out that they couldn't access the service on the web or on other devices.
