Silver Moon LP dba Loard’s Ice Cream is voluntarily recalling "all products sold in retail-sized packaging" due to the products being distributed without ingredient labeling, according to an alert posted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) website.
Newsweek reached out to the company via email on Friday night for comment.
The alert warns that due to the lack of ingredient labels, the products contain undeclared allergens that could cause "serious or life-threatening" reactions if consumed by people with a severe sensitivity or allergy.

Numerous recalls have been initiated in the past year because of potentially damaged products, foodborne illness, undeclared food allergens or the potential for bacteria.
Millions of Americans experience food sensitivities or food allergies every year. According to the FDA, the nine "major" food allergens in the United States are eggs, milk, fish, wheat, soybeans, crustacean shellfish, sesame, tree nuts and peanuts.
According to the alert, the recalled ice cream was distributed to Northern California Loard’s Ice Cream parlors and sold in retail-size containers and available for purchase from the storefront freezers.
The product is sold in a 32-ounce blue paper cup and a 56-ounce plastic cup, the alert says.
The item description, undeclared allergens, undeclared food colorings, undeclared sulfites, sizes and barcodes are listed in the alert for potential customers to cross-reference.

According to the alert, no illnesses have been reported related to the recall as of Thursday.
"The recall was initiated after it was determined during FDA inspection that the product’s retail packaging did not include the required ingredient statement and allergen declarations," per the alert.
People who have purchased the recalled ice cream are urged to return it to the original place of purchase for a refund. Customers with additional questions may contact the company via phone at 415-547-0520 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. PT weekdays or via email at hello@silvermoonfoods.com, the alert says.
In an email to Newsweek last year, the FDA said: "Most recalls in the U.S. are carried out voluntarily by the product manufacturer and when a company issues a public warning, typically via news release, to inform the public of a voluntary product recall, the FDA shares that release on our website as a public service.
"The FDA's role during a voluntary, firm-initiated, recall is to review the recall strategy, evaluate the health hazard presented by the product, monitor the recall, and as appropriate alert the public and other companies in the supply chain about the recall.
"The FDA provides public access to information on recalls by posting a listing of recalls according to their classification in the FDA Enforcement Report, including the specific action taken by the recalling company. The FDA Enforcement Report is designed to provide a public listing of products in the marketplace that are being recalled."
Additional information on recalls can be found via the FDA's Recalls, Market Withdrawals, & Safety Alerts.
