Located in New York City, Vaughn College is a private, nonprofit, four-year college committed to providing its students with the excellent education and skills needed to achieve professional success in engineering, technology, management, and aviation. Founded in 1932, the College, adjacent to LaGuardia Airport, is a small, high-quality institution where students can experience personal attention as they progress through academic course work. Vaughn has an enrollment of more than 1,500 students and offers bachelor's and associate degree programs in engineering, technology, management and aviation and a unique master's degree in airport management. While many families are concerned about the affordability of college education, Vaughn remains committed to providing its students with private college experience at a highly competitive tuition rate. Ninety percent of students receive some type of financial aid, and counselors work directly with parents and students to craft a competitive aid package. In 2019 Vaughn was named one of Money Magazine's "Best Colleges for Your Money," a top science and tech college by Popular Mechanics in 2017 and is recognized as having the highest upward mobility rate among more than 2,100 colleges nationwide by The Equality of Opportunity Project as reported in The New York Times.

Vaughn is a training partner of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), giving students and graduates in the associate and bachelor's programs in electronic engineering technology, avionics, an inside track in obtaining internships and potential full-time employment with the organization. Vaughn is also one of only 30 schools nationwide approved for the FAA's Air Traffic Control Collegiate Training Initiative and has recently partnered with Delta Air Lines to enhance the aviation maintenance training of the College's Aviation Training Institute (ATI) students and enable them to graduate to careers in an in-demand field.

Vaughn continues to be recognized for its achievements. For the ninth year in a row, Vaughn's curriculum, faculty and overall academic reputation earned it a place in U.S. News and World Report's survey of the best regional colleges in the North. More than 96 percent of Vaughn graduates are employed or continue their education within one year of graduation, with 80 percent in their field of study. And with a low 15 to 1 student to faculty ratio, students receive the personalized attention they need to succeed.

In recent years, the opportunities generated by technology have crossed into all segments of the American industry. Demand is high for jobs with electronics engineering firms, computer software, and fiber-optics communication companies, in government, defense and the transportation sectors. Our alumni grace many varied fields, from airport management and engineering to manufacturing and electronics. They have built successful careers in organizations such as the Federal Aviation Administration, IBM, Xerox, Kodak, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, United Technologies, Embraer, Cummins Inc., Cessna Citation, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Sikorsky. The analytical, technical and communication skills developed here by more than 5,800 Vaughn alumni make them integral parts of any corporate team, as well as lifelong students of the high-tech world in which we live.

A Vaughn College education is designed to make its students futureproof and prepare them students for employment. As evidence, Vaughn is now offering an innovative new guarantee for those graduates who meet certain basic criteria. If an eligible student is not employed full-time in their field of study one year after graduating, and conducting an active job search, Vaughn College will provide reimbursement for one year of the graduate's federal Direct undergraduate student loan payments.
