An Israeli settler has been filmed placing what appears to be raw pork on the face of an alleged Palestinian attacker who had attempted to stab Israeli border police officers in the West Bank on Friday.
Israeli media outlets reported that the suspect died from his wounds on the way to an Israeli hospital, meaning that he was still alive when the footage was taken.
The footage, too graphic to publish, was circulated on social media on Saturday and shows an Israeli man walking up to the injured Palestinian man and placing the apparent pig flesh on his face and genitals as Israeli medics transfer the man to an ambulance.

A blurred version of the video was published by Israeli news site Walla, which said that the meat product was pork. Another image, published by Reuters, shows the settler placing an object on the body of the Palestinian suspect.
The attacker lightly wounded an Israeli police officer with a knife before he was shot by other police officers, The Jerusalem Post reported. The attack occurred near the West Bank city of Hebron and the Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba on Friday.
Pork is seen as unholy to both Jews and Muslims—it is not eaten by followers of either faiths and Muslims consider it unclean to touch pork.
Israeli right-wing activist Itamar Ben Gvir praised the settler for putting pork on the body of the Palestinian man and said that he "should be given a medal."
He told Walla: "If this could prevent terror attacks, then we are definitely talking about the idea of the year. It's time for us to stop with this self-righteousness and realize that we are in a war for our survival."
The mayor of the Israeli settlement Kiryat Arba, Yisrael Bramson, called for the bodies of Palestinian attackers not to be returned to their families, as Israeli policy dictates, in quotes carried by Walla. "I was there when it happened. I think this is a very basic and legitimate response," he said. "I do not condemn what happened.
"They do not need to get their bodies back, you have to throw them into the sea at best," Bramson added. "The terrorist came to slaughter the Jews and we had to treat him like he meant to treat us."
Some right-wing Israelis have suggested that Palestinian attackers should be buried with pig flesh to deter future attacks by radical Muslims. Some Muslims believe that touching a pig—its skin, blood or flesh—while dying or in death means that they will not receive Allah's blessing in the afterlife.
The Times of Israel reported that in a 2001 interview at the height of the Second Palestinian Intifada, Israeli Deputy Public Security Minister Gideon Ezra suggested that burying Palestinian suicide bombers with pig skin or blood would act as a deterrent from other attackers who believe that they would achieve martyrdom.
