Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has revealed the decision to turn down a transfer to Arsenal was "easy."

The 29-year-old struck 24 English Premier League goals last season as Leicester completed the most surprising title triumph in a generation, and was apparently rewarded when Arsene Wenger and Arsenal came calling earlier in the summer.

But England striker Vardy turned down the opportunity to move, and has now described it as a simple decision.

"It's not been put out there that I have always said the boys, the close-knit brotherhood, is unbelievable and for me, there's a lot of unfinished business here," Vardy said. "I feel that the club is only going one way and that is forward, that's why I want to be a part of it. It wasn't that big [the decision] when I think about it. It was quite easy and this is where I want to be."

Vardy is back in training with Leicester on its pre-season tour of the United States, but did not feature on Sunday as the club lost 4-0 to French champion Paris Saint-Germain in the International Champions Cup.
