Jason Derulo Fight: What Happened At The Las Vegas Club?

Jason Derulo has hit headlines after he got into a fight with two people outside of a nightclub at the Aria Resort and Casino, Las Vegas. Police were called to the nightclub in the early hours of Tuesday, January 4 to reports singer, dancer, and TikTok star Durelo, 32, had "committed battery against two individuals."

According to TMZ, the altercation broke out after one of the clubgoers/hotel residents swore at Derulo and referred to him as "Usher", another hugely successful R&B artist.

Footage of the alleged altercation has been shared widely online and in the clips, Derulo, wearing a red tartan jacket can be seen fighting the two men beside some escalators, with security stepping in to break up the fight.

In the end, no injuries were reported by police and no charges against Derulo were pressed. However, he was ordered to leave the property after being served a trespassing notice from ARIA Resort and Casino.

In a statement to Newsweek, The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said: "On January 4, 2022 at approximately 2:22 a.m., LVMPD Officers responded to an altercation at a night club located in the 3700 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard.

"The altercation started when the suspect, identified as Jason Derulo, committed a battery against two individuals. The victims did not want to press charges against Derulo, who was trespassed from the property.

"No report was taken due to the victims not wanting to prosecute and Derulo was not cited or arrested."

Newsweek has contacted Derulo's representatives and The ARIA Resort for comment.

Who Is Jason Derulo?

Jason Derulo is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer from Miami, Florida.
He burst onto the charts in 2009 with his single, "Whatcha Say", which reached number 1. in the U.S and New Zealand and went triple Platinum.

Since then he has had huge success with the hits "Wiggle", "Talk Dirty", "Want to Want Me", "In My Head" "Swalla" and "Ridin' Solo" to name a few.

In 2015, Derulo released his fourth studio album, Everything Is 4 and dabbled in acting appearing in an episode of Lethal Weapon and the movie Cats.

After a period of time out of the spotlight, Derulo released the single "Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)" alongside beat producer Jawsh 685, which went viral on TikTok. The song was so popular, BTS remixed the single which went on to reach number one in the U.S.

Hot on the heels of his TikTok success, Derulo released the single "Love Not War (The Tampa Beat) with producer Nuka, which also went viral on the video sharing platform. Today, he is one of the most-followed accounts on the platform, with over 51 million followers.

In September 2021, Derulo announced he had split from partner Jena Frume, who is also the mother of his son Jason King.

The former couple met at a gym in 2020 and in March 2021, announced they were expecting a baby together. Frume gave birth in May 2021.

Announcing their split, Derulo wrote on his social media: "Jena and I have decided to part ways.

"She is an amazing mother but we feel being apart at this time will allow us to be the best versions of ourselves and the best parents we could be.

"Pls respect our privacy in this time."
