Vice President JD Vance joked about President Donald Trump’s recent focus on people’s physiques after GOP Representative Ryan Zinke complimented his blue eyes at an event in Belgrade, Montana.

“We’re self-confident in the Trump-Vance administration. The president’s been noticing a lot about the physiques of everybody lately," Vance quipped.

Trump’s recent remarks about people’s physiques have become a recurring feature of his campaign appearances.

He has repeatedly discussed the build of Ohio Republican Senator Jon Husted, a former college football player, including describing him as “a pile of muscle.”

At a Michigan rally on Sunday, Trump revisited his comments about Husted before turning to rapper Nicki Minaj who was in attendance, telling the crowd he had seen “one hell of a beautiful ass” and adding, “That’s hard to miss,” before asking her to stand. Trump later said he hoped Minaj had not been insulted.

Vance Gets a Montana Pronunciation Lesson

Vance was in Belgrade to rally support for Montana Republicans, including House candidate Aaron Flint and Senate candidate Kurt Alme, with just over a week until the November 3 midterm elections.

Vance had another lighthearted moment during the rally when he mispronounced Helena as “Huh-LAYNE-a,” prompting grumbling from the Montana crowd.

After repeating the pronunciation and getting another audible reaction, Vance paused as audience members shouted out the correct pronunciation: “HELL-a-na.”

Vance laughed off the mistake and told the crowd he was humble enough to admit when he was wrong.

After his stop in Montana, Vance was scheduled to travel to Topeka, Kansas, for a rally supporting Republican Senator Roger Marshall in his closely watched race against Democrat Adam Hamilton.
