Jenelle Evans Fired From MTV: Looking Back at Reality Star's Most Controversial 'Teen Mom' Moments

Jenelle Evans will no longer be a member of the Teen Mom 2 cast. MTV released a statement announcing her firing on Tuesday on the heels of news that her husband David Eason, who was fired from the MTV show in 2018, shot and killed their dog.

"MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2 with him since," the network said in a statement to Us Weekly. "Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle [Evans] Eason as of April 6, 2019, and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season."

Given her reputation as one of the more controversial figures of the Teen Mom franchise, Evans' castmates weren't the least bit surprised by her firing.

"ANYONE that condones/contributes/doesn't PREVENT or STOP animal cruelty or the murder of an innocent animals life is SICK & I REFUSE to be affiliated with! I want to sympathize for my former castmate but at this point I can't. ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!!" Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.

Castmate Randy Houska said the couple's demise on the show was well overdue, though noted he was concerned about Evans' future. "I certainly think it was far past due, and that they really drug their a** doing it. But I worry for the kids, and since we've been in this for 10 years together, I worry about Jenelle," he tweeted.

Eason reportedly shot the French bulldog Nugget after it nipped the couple's two-year-old daughter, Ensley. Evans additionally is the mother of nine-year-old Jace and four-year-old Kaiser, whom she shares with Andrew Lewis and Nathan Griffith respectively.

While Eason's killing of the dog seemed to be the final straw for the family's involvement on Teen Mom 2, the incident was just one of many scandalous moments Evans endured during her tenure on the show.

Read on for a timeline of Evans' most controversial moments below.

February 2010

North Carolina native Evans made her big reality TV debut on 16 and Pregnant. She was expecting her first child, Jace, with boyfriend Andrew Lewis. The series followed Evans and Lewis' breakup following his arrest and Evans' decision to give her mother, Barbara Evans, temporary custody of her son.

October 2010

Evans was arrested along with her at-the-time boyfriend Kieffer Delp after allegedly breaking into her neighbor's home. She was charged with drug possession and was sentenced to 12 months of probation. She was also ordered to submit monthly drug tests.

March 2011

Evans started a fight with her former best friend Brittany Truet after Truet was caught flirting with Delp. The altercation was caught by MTV cameras and went viral online, sparking an investigation. Still on probation, Jenelle Evans was arrested for her role in the fight and went to jail. However, she placed bond and immediately checked herself into a rehab facility.

August 2011

After testing positive for marijuana and opioids, Evans was arrested again for violating her probation.

January 2012

Evans was arrested twice in January. Her first arrest came after she reportedly made threats and harassing phone calls to her former friend Hannah Inman. She was released after posting her own bail. However, she found herself behind bars a second time barely a week later after allegedly violating the terms of Inman's domestic protection order, which prevented Evans from contacting her.

March 2012

Evans was arrested once again for allegedly cyberstalking her boss. She was released after just spending an hour in the slammer.

June 2012

Following a violent altercation with her ex-fiancé Gary Head, which led to his arrest on domestic violence charges, Evans was also arrested for marijuana possession. The charges were later dropped.

April 2013

Evans was arrested along with her husband at the time, Courtland Rogers, following the couple's domestic dispute. Both were suspected and charged with heroin possession, possession of Percocet, possession of drug paraphernalia and assault. Evans was released on bail while Rogers remained behind bars for violating the terms of his probation for a previous charge.

August 2013

After testing positive for marijuana during a court-ordered drug test, Evans was arrested again.

December 2013

While expecting baby number two with then-boyfriend Nathan Griffith, Evans was arrested once again, marking her 10th arrest in less than three years. The couple was involved in a heated dispute, causing the police to arrive at their door and arrest Evans for breach of peace.

February 2015

Evans was caught driving without a license and was arrested.

May 2015

Evans was arrested on charges of criminal domestic violence after getting in a physical fight with Griffith, after they had broken up. Griffith later dropped the charge against his ex.

August 2015

Evans spent a night in a local jail on assault charges after she allegedly threw a glass at Griffith's new girlfriend, Jessica Henry.

August 2016

Evans announced she was expecting a third child, daughter Ensley, with David Eason. The couple's new baby arrived in January 2017 and they went on to wed in September.

February 2018

Evans and Eason drew backlash on social media after Eason posted an Instagram video of her shooting an AR-15 assault rifle just hours after the Parkland, Florida mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The couple remained in the spotlight when Evans revealed on social media that Child Protective Services visited her home because she tested positive for marijuana after giving birth to her daughter.

The month of February remained a controversial one for the couple after MTV fired Eason from the Teen Mom 2 cast, following his social media outburst against the LGBTQ community.

April 2018

Evans was caught on camera pulling a gun on a man who allegedly cut her off in traffic. Her son Jace was in the passenger seat during the incident, which aired on Teen Mom 2 in July.

October 2018

Evans' marriage was back in the spotlight after she called 911 on her husband over an alleged domestic dispute. Although she initially asked for emergency care, she later canceled the ambulance request and arrived at a hospital in a private car. Eason was not arrested nor were any police reports of the incident made—although authorities confirmed arriving at the couple's North Carolina home. Evans later denied being abused by her husband in a YouTube video.

May 2019

In a rant on Teen Mom 2, Evans complained about not being able to film with Eason, who was no longer able to discuss the couple's relationship on camera due to his firing. She compared the situation to R&B singer R. Kelly's sexual abuse accusations and suggested Eason was similarly unable to use his voice to defend himself against the abuse speculation surrounding their marriage. Days later Eason shot and killed their family's dog Nugget.

Newsweek's request for comment from MTV was unanswered at the time of this post.
