Jim Carrey's New Cartoon Slams 'Racist Hate Groups' And Republican Party's 'Shameless Lies, Endless Indictments'

Jim Carrey rallied for the blue in his newest cartoon. The comedian criticized the Republican Party's categorical lies and legal trouble in the image, urging voters to choose Democrat when they hit the polls for the 2018 midterm elections on Tuesday.

The drawing, released on Twitter, depicted a cloud resembling President Donald Trump blowing air while a superhero-like woman—wearing a blue bodysuit likely representative of the Democratic Party—aimed a spear at him. "Shameless lies. Endless indictments. The rise of racist hate groups. Kidnapped children. Contempt for rule of law—and quite possibly treason," Carrey wrote, before encouraging people to join the left.

"Let's end this ill-wind that's blowing America off-balance and turning us against each other. VOTE DEMOCRAT!" the tweet read.

The actor has frequently used his artistic talents to support Democrats during the midterm campaign, which will come to an official end on Wednesday. Most recently the 56-year-old released a vivid drawing backing Texas Senate hopeful Beto O'Rourke in his fight against Republican incumbent Ted Cruz.

Depicting Cruz as a vampire, Carrey called on voters to help O'Rourke "pull back the curtains" on Republican "bloodsuckers" like Cruz, Texas' Senator for the last five years. "Vote like there's no tomorrow. Let's make this Tuesday like the end of every great vampire movie," Carrey wrote.

Cruz responded by claiming Carrey made a mistake by referring to him as a vampire. "Hollywood liberals all in for Beto. But (self-described socialist) Jim Carrey made a mistake here: Vampires are dead, and everyone knows the dead vote Democrat," Cruz wrote on social media.

Carrey replied to Cruz and apologized for rattling his chain. "I thought you would have more important things to do two days before an election—like sucking up to the guy who called your wife ugly and accused your dad of murder. But I get it! It's hard to say no when Trump grabs ya by the p***y!" Carrey wrote.

Carrey has used his platform to rally against Trump, his supporters like Cruz and the entire Republican Party since Trump took office in 2016.
