Who Is John Ford? Kendall Jenner’s Alleged Stalker Ordered to Stay 100 Yards Away From Model

The man accused of stalking Kendall Jenner was hit with a protective order preventing him from being within 100 yards of the model, according to a TMZ report on Friday. Under the terms of the permanent restraining order, a man named John Ford is legally prohibited from having any contact of any kind with Jenner for the next five years.

Ford, 37, has been arrested for trespassing Jenner’s gated community in Beverly Hills on a number of occasions, including one instance in which he was spotted on her porch. A judge issued an order banning him from being within 1,000 feet of Jenner’s neighborhood in September. Then Ford was caught sitting in her backyard by her security detail in October. He allegedly scaled the mountainside in the back of the community to get to Jenner’s property, according to TMZ.

A Canadian citizen, Ford was arrested at the time and was placed on a psychiatric hold under the orders of Los Angeles Police Department’s Threat Management Unit. He was later charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing, which holds a maximum of six months in jail, in addition to the protective order filed by Jenner’s lawyer Shawn Holley.

Ford isn’t the first Kendall Jenner stalker to face legal consequences. Shavaughn McKenzie, a homeless man, was convicted of trespassing at Jenner’s home in November 2016. Jenner, who lived in Hollywood Hills at the time, told police McKenzie was waiting on her property when she arrived home in August 2016, The Daily Beast reported. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star said the man approached her vehicle and started banging on her window, asking, “Can I talk to you?”

Jenner, who suffers from tropophobia, an anxiety-inducing disorder, later testified against McKenzie in court. “I was crying. I was screaming. I was freaking out. I didn’t know what his intentions were. I was freaking out,” Jenner recalled on the stand in October 2016. “I was frightened for sure.”
