Johnny Depp Laughs at Amber Heard Saying She'll 'Never See His Eyes Again'

Johnny Depp reacts as Amber Heard speaks on why he hasn't looked at her once during the defamation trial.

The trial continues as the court reaches day 17 of the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard trial. Tuesday, the Aquaman actress testified as well as witness iO Tillett Wright, a friend of Heard. The trial is taking place in Fairfax County, Virginia, and is set to finish on May 27. The trial is being live-streamed online for the public to watch.

Depp is suing Heard for $50 million over an op-ed she wrote in 2018 that was published in The Washington Post called "I spoke up against sexual violence — and faced our culture's wrath. That has to change." Even though Depp was not named anywhere in the article, Depp's lawyers argue that what Heard wrote was obviously about him. Since the op-ed was published, Depp had lost many movie opportunities. Heard is countersuing Depp for $100 million, calling the lawsuit a "nuisance" suit.

In a popular video published to TikTok, a user named @cbatogivename published a video of Depp laughing and reacting to Heard's statements about him not looking at her at all during the trial. The viral video has over 328,000 views and 34,000 likes.

During day one of the cross-examination, Depp's lawyer, Camille Vasquez, started off by saying that Depp hasn't looked at her once. As heard in a voice recording, Depp had told Heard that she will never see his eyes again.

As stated in the viral post, Heard says, "Because he's guilty, he knows he's lying. Otherwise, why can't he look at me? I survived, I survived that man and I'm here and I'm able to look at him."

Depp leans into one of his lawyers, Ben Chew, and seemingly whispers, "I don't want to."

Many TikTok users were quick to comment in defense of Depp.

"In todays trial they used audio where Johnny said 'you'll never see my eyes again' leaving AH for the last time. He's keeping his promise. What a man," one user said.

"The reality is...he can't look at her...because in that moment after surviving this type of person you can't bare to look at them," explained another.

"Abusers can look at their victims. Especially an abuser like her. Victims don't want to/can't look at their victims," exclaimed another.

One person said, "He's not lookin at you cause he made a promise of that and he's just keeping his word."
