Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly "dismayed" by what he has found at the Premier League club, according to a report.

While Mourinho is attempting to turn around United on the pitch following the disappointing reigns of David Moyes and Louis Van Gaal, he has also encountered problems behind the scenes.

BBC Sport claims the Portuguese is disappointed at the general culture of the club, which has "fallen short of his expectations."

That means he is now examining all areas, including the crucial 21st-century details of fitness and sports science.

Since United lost its iconic manager Sir Alex Ferguson at the end of the 2012-13 season, it has won just the FA Cup in 2016, Van Gaal's final game in charge.
