Congresswoman Joyce Beatty, an Ohio Democrat, took to Twitter to encourage midterm election voter turnout from millennials by dancing to one of the demographic's most beloved artists: Drake.

The 68-year-old Ohio representative joined in on Drake's "In My Feelings" dance contest Friday that saw thousands of social media users posting videos of their most—and least—impressive moves inspired by the Canadian rapper's latest album, Scorpion.

In a Twitter video that has now amassed nearly 25,000 views, Beatty and two staffers can be seen dancing in front of the Capitol building after emerging from a luxury white vehicle. Beatty stated the importance of congressional members reaching out to young voters through "trending topics," even if it is simply to ponder if Drake's ex-girlfriend Keshia "Keke" Chanté still loves him.

"I don't know who Keke is but I want her to vote next November because this @WhiteHouse has me and many other Americans 'in my feelings,'" Beatty tweeted Friday. The congresswoman's video joined thousands of Twitter users who were showing off their versions of a newly formed dance called the "Shiggy." Several dance contests emerged on social media over the weekend, including the #InMyFeelingsChallenge and a dispute over whether the mysterious woman referenced in Drake's lyrics is "Kiki" or "Keke."

Just under half (49.4 percent) of millennials who were registered to vote in the 2016 elections followed through on their civic duty, according to the Pew Research Center.

Beatty promoted a "#KekeMustVote" hashtag to reach out to millennial voters ahead of upcoming November midterm elections. Beatty will face off with Republican Jim Burgess during the November midterm elections for Ohio's 3rd Congressional district. In a statement, Beatty said, "We just need to get more people engaged. This is culture meets politics."

"As a Member of Congress, it's imperative we tap into trending topics to help deliver important messages to the next generation, especially when it comes to the importance of voting and using one's voice. This is but the latest example of how I am bridging the gap between politics/government and millennials," the statement continued. She also urged members of the Congressional Black Caucus to post their own videos as part of the challenge.

Beatty's millennial outreach effort comes as the Democrats are looking to gain 23 seats in the House of Representatives as well as adding two Senate seats in order to reclaim both chambers of Congress.

"In My Feelings" is currently number six on the Billboard Top 100 chart, though seven Drake songs are in the top ten.

In the video, Beatty is seen in an all-white suit and matching white heels. In 2016, Beatty wore the same dress to the Democratic National Convention as now-first lady Melania Trump did to the Republican National Convention.
