#SUPERJUNIOR_2YA2YAO Trends As K-Pop Group Releases New Song and Music Video

K-pop group Super Junior has released its ninth repackaged album and a new music video for the album's title track "2YA2YAO!," the band announced in a post on its official Twitter account.

Called Timeless, the record features four new songs including "Ticky Tocky," "Shadow" and "Rock Your Body", in addition to the title track and a selection of previously released songs.

The album is themed around the concepts of "bright and shadow," the band noted in a Twitter press release. The album cover comes in two versions, one for each concept.

The latest album is the group's first venture into the hip-hop music genre since debuting debuted around 16 years ago, according to the Korean music review website Melon.com.

The title track is a funky hip-hop dance number, the dance moves for which are showcased in the new music video. The promo sees the boys dancing in various backdrops switching from bright red to dark black/grey scenes, with strobe lighting in between.

The latest album marks the completion of the Time album trilogy, the first of which was Time_Slip, the group's ninth regular album followed by Timeline, a special edition of Time_Slip.

Super Junior fans have been sharing their impressions of the new track on social media using the hashtag #SUPERJUNIOR_2YA2YAO, which has trended on Twitter.

"The choreography and the beat is such a masterpiece #SUPERJUNIOR_2YA2YAO," wrote @Hyukkiss.

Last year, fans were left heartbroken after former Super Junior member Kangin, also known as Kim Young-woon, announced he would be leaving the group after 14 years.

The singer had been involved in several scandals since he joined Super Junior in 2005, including being indicted for a drunk driving hit-and-run incident and allegations that he drunkenly assaulted a woman at a bar back.

"I decided to leave behind the title, Super Junior, with which I spent a long time," he said in a post on his official Instagram account last year.

"I have been all too sorry for other members...but couldn't make up my mind quickly due to people who steadfastly support me," he said.

"But I finally decided that this decision cannot be further delayed while watching the members suffering unnecessary issues because of my trouble," he added.
