The Kabuki Warriors Ditch Paige as Manager on WWE Monday Night RAW

The Kabuki Warriors, the team of Asuka and Kairi Sane, pleasantly surprised the WWE Universe when they ditched their manager Paige.

Monday Night RAW started with Paige who was happy to be back on WWE television following her recovery from neck surgery. She said that she was happy to be a part (if only a little) of The Kabuki Warriors' success before calling out Asuka and Kairi Sane.

Once in the ring, Paige ran down Sane and Asuka's singles accomplishments in NXT and on the main roster but said that she's surprised that they gelled as well as they did. Asuka then snatched the mic from Paige before talking in Japanese. Paige grabs the mic back, but Kairi Sane does the same. Before Paige can get the mic again, Sane drops it to the floor allowing for Asuka to spit the green mist in the first NXT Women's Champions' face.

Paige was the kayfabe driving force between Sane and Asuka's team up. In April, Paige announced a new tag team to challenge for the Women's Tag Team Championships, revealing Asuka and the newly "called up" Kairi Sane from NXT. She would refer to them as The Kabuki Warriors.

The two would fight and scrape for a shot at the championships - which was held by The IIconics at the time - but could never get a fair shot. Months later, Paige would undergo neck surgery leaving The Kabuki Warriors without their mouthpiece. However, this allowed for Sane and Asuka to fly on their own and even turn heel in the process on their way to winning the Women's Tag Team Championships from Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross at October's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

The Women's Tag Team Championships are defended on every brand, and last week a number one contenders match was made on NXT between the team of Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai, and Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir. Nox and Kai would win, giving Kairi Sane and Asuka their next title defense for the October 30 episode of NXT.

As for Paige, she works on WWE Backstage is a studio show that airs on FS1 after Friday Night SmackDown. Paige is one of the analysts along with Booker T and Renee Young as host.
