L.A. Galaxy Vs. Philadelphia Union Recent Form

Both teams arrive into the weekend on the back of three consecutive wins.

Less than a week after scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over Portland, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was on target last week as the Galaxy won 2-0 in Vancouver to move up to third place in the Western Conference.

With 12 points, the Galaxy are four points behind cross-town rivals and conference leaders Los Angeles FC but have a game in hand.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, is joint-fourth in the Eastern Conference, three points behind the Columbus Crew.

The Union shocked the conference leaders with a 3-0 last month, picking up their first win of the season after collecting just one point from the opening three fixtures.

Better still, Philadelphia has followed up the thrashing of Columbus with back-to-back wins against Cincinnati and Dallas, the latter of which came courtesy of two late goals.

Ayyy, @MLS, how's this for a Goal of the Week contender?
