Lady Gaga and Other Stars Who Have Fallen Onstage and Gotten Back Up

Video of pop superstar Lady Gaga is trending on Twitter following a mishap during one of her "Enigma" residency performances in Las Vegas.

As Newsweek previously reported, the singer-songwriter is seen in the viral clip dancing with a fan in front of the audience. He then picks her up but loses his balance, causing them to both tumble off the stage. Moments later, Gaga rises from the floor, returns to the stage and goes into a rendition of "Bad Romance" from her 2009 album The Fame Monster.

"Lady Gaga fell off the stage and then proceeded to kill the Bad Romance choreography like nothing ever happened. The level of professionalism...far too much," tweeted Lady Gaga fan account @LGMonsterFacts.

Of course, Gaga, who earlier this week was acclaimed by Elton John as "the only real star" of the moment, is not the first public figure to take a fall during a live show.

In 2015, Madonna took to Instagram to write: "Nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up. Thanks for your good wishes!" The post came shortly after a performance at that year's BRIT Awards in London, where the cape-clad singer fell down a set of stairs while singing "Living for Love." According to the BBC, she also issued a statement saying that she was "fine" and that her cape had been "tied too tight."

Last year, Beyoncé had a minor hiccup at a Thursday night show during her On the Run II tour with Jay-Z in Nashville, Tennessee. The Queen of the Beyhive almost fell down a set of stairs onstage, and while she recovered pretty quickly, it certainly didn't go unnoticed by her fans.

Many are still not over the time Jennifer Lawrence tripped at the 2013 Oscars. Wearing a white Dior gown, the actress nearly smacked her head on the steps leading to the stage, where, moments later, she would accept an award for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook. (Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek had a similar experience in 2019.)

"What do you mean, what happened? Look at my dress. I tried to walk up stairs in this dress," The Hunger Games star said of the mishap, according to E News. "That's what happened. I think I just stepped on the fabric, and they waxed the stairs."

Blake Shelton topped People's list of celebrity falls for his tumble during a July 2018 concert in Pendleton, Oregon. The country singer turned to Twitter to poke fun at his actions and ask for evidence, according to the magazine.

"Ok Pendleton I know somebody is bound to have video of me falling on stage last night!!" he tweeted. "Please!! I have to see it!!! Post that s—t And yes I had been drinking. A lot."
