Lana Condor Admits She Had a Crush on Noah Centineo During 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before'

Lana Condor and Noah Centineo had insane chemistry when working on To All the Boys I've Loved Before, but fans can rest assured—the actress revealed that their connection was far from fake.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, the 21-year-old star detailed what it was like establishing a bond with Centineo prior to filming the popular Netflix movie. As host Jimmy Fallon noted how the pair "hit it off" and had "great chemistry," she said they had to set guidelines early because she felt sparks with him instantly.

"We had just come back from a hot yoga class and went to his apartment and we ordered pizza. And it was kind of like, oh, hot yoga, pizza, what's happening? It was right before we shot the movie, just trying to get to know each other," Condor told Fallon on Thursday. "And I felt something! And then so, we went like this and I looked at him. I was like, 'Noah, it's not going to happen between us.'"

Condor continued, "I felt that for the show to do well, we had to be best friend professionals. And so I was like, 'It's just not going to happen.' He's just like, 'Yeah, it's not going to happen.' And I was like, 'Great.'"

Condor went onto explain how her real-life friendship with Centineo had similarities to the pair's fictional characters from To All the Boys I've Loved Before. Like in the movie, they concocted a set of rules that restricted them from going beyond the "best friend professionals" territory.

"We kind of did what we did in To All the Boys I've Loved Before the movie. We kind of, like, made a contract and set boundaries," she explained. "I'm so happy that we did that because the movie turned out great and now we're doing a sequel, so I have to work with him again."

Despite Condor and Centineo's strict guidelines, Fallon was curious to know whether the duo still has "that spark." To this, the Deadly Class star said: "We still have the spark. Yeah, absolutely."

"We were just on the phone the other day, just talking about the sequel," she said. "But yeah, he's great."

To further disappoint shippers of Condor and Centineo, the actress is very much in a relationship with longtime boyfriend Anthony De La Torre. The couple, in fact, attended several Golden Globes weekend events together. On Torre's birthday in November 2018, she penned a sweet message to her beau via Instagram. "Happy birthday to my better half always! I don't know what I did to have you in my life, but you make every day better," she wrote.
