Lauren Hogg Asks Melania Trump for Comment While Brother Gets 'Cyberbullied' by Laura Ingraham

Parkland shooting survivor Lauren Hogg tweeted at Melania Trump asking her for comment about cyberbullying as Fox News personality Laura Ingraham chirped at her older brother David Hogg about getting rejected by colleges.

"HEY @FLOTUS MY BROTHER IS LITERALLY GETTING CYBERBULLIED BY @IngrahamAngle …
ANY COMMENTS? " the younger Hogg asked in all capital letters.

The tweet came after Ingraham's critique.

"David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA...totally predictable given acceptance rates," Ingraham tweeted Wednesday.

Trump has made combatting cyberbullying an issue she wanted to tackle as the first lady. Last week, Trump brought together leaders in the social media and tech industries to cement her commitment to the issue.

"I am well aware that people are skeptical of me discussing this topic. I have been criticized for my commitment to tackling this issue, and I know that will continue. But it will not stop me from doing what I know is right. I am here with one goal: helping children and our next generation," said the first lady, whose husband has been known to attack people on Twitter.

After David Hogg and other survivors of the deadly shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School became vocal national advocates for gun control, they faced wide criticism from conservative figures and conspiracy theorists. Lauren Hogg has called on Trump to help with cyberbullying before.

"Hey @FLOTUS you say that your mission as First Lady is to stop cyber bullying, well then, don't you think it would have been smart to have a [conversation] with your step-son @DonaldJTrumpJr before he liked a post about a false conspiracy theory which in turn put a target on my back," Lauren Hogg tweeted in February, referencing a tweet Trump Jr. liked that inferred that the kids who survived the deadly massacre were "crisis actors."

She continued that the president's son was creating a "safe space" for people to go after the survivor.

"I'm 14 I should never have had to deal with any of this and even though I thought it couldn't get worse it has because of your family," Lauren Hogg tweeted at the first lady, a week after the shooting that killed 17.

Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment by Newsweek.

&created a safe space for people all over the world to call me and my family horrific things that constantly re-victimizes us and our community. I’m 14 I should never have had to deal with any of this and even though I thought it couldn’t get worse it has because of your family.
