An attorney for Representative Lauren Boebert's campaign has said they are "investigating some very unusual voting patterns" as she trails Democrat Eileen Laubacher in her battle to secure re-election to the House of Representatives.

Laubacher is currently leading on 48.75 percent of the vote to Boebert's 47.95 percent in Colorado's 4th Congressional District with 97 percent of the vote counted, according to The Associated Press.

Scott Gessler, an attorney for Boebert's campaign, said in a statement on Thursday: "A significant number of votes remain outstanding in the race.
