James Murphy's reformed punk-rock alliance LCD Soundsystem and Diplo's electronic trio Major Lazer will lead the lineup at every London hipster's favorite festival, Lovebox.

LCD Soundsystem's disbandment in 2011, stamped with a farewell show at Madison Square Garden, gently morphed into an extended break as the group followed the release of new material in December 2015 with the announcement of a headline slot at the 2016 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.

According to the BBC, the band's Saturday night appearance at Lovebox will be their only gig in the U.K.

Major Lazer, who currently hold Spotify's streaming record for their song "Lean On," also hit the headlines recently when it was confirmed that the band would be the first major American act to perform in Cuba since Washington and Havana restored diplomatic ties. They will take to the stage outside the U.S. embassy in Havana on March 6.

Last year's Lovebox festival saw Rudimental and Snoop Dogg fill the rain-drenched east London air with their respective offerings of deep drum'n'bass and '90s hip-hop nostalgia.

The Lovebox Festival will take place in Victoria Park, east London, on July 15 and 16.
